WellPark Pricing

When you need to have surgery there are crucial details you need to know. Surgeries today are much different than even a few years ago.  Post-surgery recovery is now requiring less time in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. Some surgeries are being performed as outpatient. More invasive surgeries can require a rehabilitation facility to support your recovery. How do you know what option is for you? And how do you know what it will cost? We have information that will help you understand the WellPark pricing and admission process.
Be prepared to know how insurance plays a part in your care. Knowing what to expect will put you at ease and lessen the unknowns. These are helpful to ask:

  • Talk with your doctor - What are your options?
  • Is your surgery pre-planned?
  • Will you require physical therapy?
  • Will your surgery require in-patient rehabilitation?
  • Are you familiar with your insurance and coverages?
  • What will be your out-of-pocket expenses?

Each surgery is unique. Just like each patient. Insurance works in much the same way. Coverages can be confusing to understand and varies from each provider.
Commercial policies like Humana and Cigna each have different policies within their offerings and in turn, various coverages.
Medicare and Medicare replacement plans are another insurance option if you are over 65. These plans also differ from each plan.   Generally, Medicare will pay 80% while, a secondary will pay 20% after any deductibles. If your surgery requires an inpatient stay, Medicare replacement plans cover the first 20 days and will require a copay starting the 21st day.
Being aware of your policy details will be helpful. Take a look at the back of your insurance card. Reach out to the toll-free number. The customer service agent will be able to explain your specific policy coverages.
Here are a few things to ask:

  • What are my coverages for surgery? Share the plan your doctor has with the agent.
  • What will be my out-of-pocket expenses?
  • Is physical rehabilitation covered in my policy? If so, what are the specifics?
  • How is the length of my stay determined?
