Anti-gravity treadmill at short-term rehab

The ability to move and recover from injuries without pain is groundbreaking and recovery in a safe environment is paramount. The anti-gravity treadmill at WellPark is a leading technological innovation. It reduces a patient’s body weight by up to 80%, which allows patients to walk and run without pain or fear of falling – like walking on the moon! This anti-gravity treadmill reduces stress on bones, joints and muscles and contributes to speedy recoveries.

Patients concerned about pain or who have a fear of falling can benefit from the HydroWorx pool. This pool provides cutting-edge therapy technology. In fact, WellPark and the University of Tennessee Medical Center are the only two places in Knoxville with a HydroWorx pool. Patients can simulate walking or running on land without the weight and joint impact. The pool is equipped with six underwater cameras and connected to a television screen. This allows both the patient and physical therapist to monitor real time progress and adjustment patient movement as necessary.

Utilizing treatment techniques that mimic real life scenarios is important and should always be a consideration when choosing a rehab facility. At WellPark, patients use simulated resources that reflect everyday activities to ensure that the therapy received translates into real life functionality.

Maples Market is a mini grocery store. Here, physical therapists assist patients in imitating a trip to the store, while increasing movement and improving mobility.
