We can all get caught up in our routines and have a hard time changing those familiar things or adding new activities to our schedules. At Shannondale, we offer all seniors the opportunity to learn new things not only about our facilities, but also to participate in events about relevant or popularly requested topics.

Correlative Health Benefits According to an article from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), engaging in social and productive activities can result in several positive impacts to health. The NIH said their research suggested that seniors who took part in activities were physically more resilient and are subsequently happier and healthier.

Live Well Event Series Through Shannondale’s Live Well event series, we bring seniors a custom series that provides unique experiences and insights.

Recent topics included:

  • June: What to Look for in a Continuum of Care Retirement Community
  • July: Meeting Dr. Chris Mathews, Our WellPark Physical Therapy Expert
  • July: Top 5 Things Your Smartphone Can Do, Presented by Jennifer Dancu.
